Great to hear from you too! Sorry that you’re so busy. Being busy isn’t so bad, it’s not having a vision or goal is what will kill you, in my opinion. At school or other places you’ll be busy too, you’ve just got to find out what it is you want to do with your life. Your major is a tool to helping you make a life. It won’t give you a life. I personally enjoy being busy working, as long as I know there’s a good reason, a purpose for it and that it’s going to make a difference. I used to think what it would be like to have a great career in buisness or policitics, as I really like challenges and those two majors are very challenging! But the more I thought about it and the more I studied I just realized that it’s all a big game. It’s a game to see who can out smart who, who can get the biggest house, fastest car or the sexiest girl/boy. Everyone is frantically trying to climb the ladder of so-called success thinking that by doing so they’re going to find happiness and peace in life. What is success? What is success for you, Li? Will success bring you happiness? Happiness that will last? Someone told me that, “Happiness is not a station you arrive at. It’s a way of traveling.” I think that’s true.
I’ve met so many rich people, people who are leading very successful lives by society’s standard yet their lives are so empty. They’ve climbed to the top of the ladder only to realize that there’s nothing at the top! Money is not bad and we need money to live, but if making money is your goal in life, you’re never going to be sasitfied. You’ll never have enough.

I’m trying to work it out so that I can come back to China after August. It’ll be nice to be back in China again.
